Visiting another country, or having someone from another country visit you, is an exciting way to learn about another culture. The Poulsbo Lions Club works hard to find quality host families for students sent from Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and South America twice a year - during the Christmas holiday season and summer. The foreign students, ranging in age from 16-21, spend 3 weeks with local host families, then another 3 weeks with different host families in Canada.

One adult should be home most of the time throughout the duration of the student's stay. We prefer the students try to attend one Poulsbo Lions meeting, where they will be treated to lunch and given club banners to take to their hometown Lions club, as well as other souvenirs.

For those interested in being a host family, or for students who would like to visit one of the countries listed above, please call Neil Storey, president of the Poulsbo Lions Club, for applications and more details at (360) 779-2380; Or e-mail the club at: info@poulsbolions.org
